                                                                              to Award Scholarship

The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections will award a scholarship this year valued at $1,200 to an eligible student.

If you are a college junior or senior majoring in political science, public administration or business administration, journalism or mass communications at an accredited Florida college, you may be eligible for a scholarship.

Applicants must be registered voters who have lived in Florida at least two years and must have maintained a “C” average or above during the past year.  Other requirements such as letters of recommendation and financial information are listed on the scholarship guidelines and scholarship application.

Applications should be submitted in the county in which the student is registered to vote.  Scholarship applications must be received by 5 p.m. March 18, 2013 in the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections office: 600 301 Blvd. W., Suite 108, Bradenton.  Letters of recommendation MUST accompany application or be received by the deadline.  For a mailed application or additional information, please call the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections office at (941) 741-3823.
